The president of Ekiti Parapo UK,
Comrade Olamide Idowu led a team of members of the organisation including the Assistant Welfare Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Ilesanmí and the Legal Officer Prince Adeniran Adewumi who is the current President of Ado Ekiti Development Union UK on a courtesy visit to Ewi of Ado Ekiti,
Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III.
During the visit that took place in London recently, Comrade Idowu informed Kabiyesi that his EXCO has embarked on a transformation agenda powered by technology to unify Ekiti sons and daughters in the UK. Olamide ask Ekiti people in the UK to join the organisation
online. The Kabiyesi also sent special greetings to all Ekiti people in the UK and encouraged them not to forget their roots, in his words, he stated:
Ilé labo simi oko, oko ni London tí a wà yi o and Kabiyesi prayed for the success of our sojourn in foreign land where we have found ourselves.
Few photographs were taken and Comrade Olamide Idowu gratefully reminded Kabiyesi of his visit to the Kings Palace in Ado Ekiti, 1995, when he similarly led the executives of Adekunle Fajuyi Hall to Kabiyesi during the preparation for the 30th anniversary of heroic exit of former military governor of the old western Nigeria, Col. Fajuyi.
On the then visit was
Dr. Temitope Aladesanmi and
Dr. Adesoji Adeniyi who were both students of Obafemi Awolowo University as Comrade Olamide Idowu himself at the time. What a sweet memory of the reception the palace accorded us, Comrade Olamide remarked.
