The National President, Mr. Lanre Arogundade, led a delegation of new Executive of the Alumni Association on a momentous maiden visit to Ekiti Parapo College, Ido Ekiti. The team, comprising the Vice President, Dr. Sola Ogunsina and the Assistant General Secretary, Mrs. Adeola Babatunde, engaged in a productive interface with the Principal, staff, and students, marking a significant milestone in the colleges history.

A Glimpse into the Visit

The four-hour visit was full of activities, reviewing the colleges status/ potential and highlighting areas that require attention. The team inspected various facilities, including the ICT lab, classrooms,  and the dilapidated library, with a view to identifying ways to improve the learning environment while equally considering location for a sick bay and the proposed Alumni Relations Office.

Reviving Initiatives and Addressing Challenges

The meeting with the Principal centered on necessary initiatives to halt land encroachment, embarking on perimeter fencing, and addressing pressing infrastructural challenges. The team reviewed the survey plan, identifying key government officials and offices to collaborate with to address these issues. The President emphasized the need for urgent action, assuring the Principal of the Alumni Associations unwavering support.

Empowering Staff, Inspiring Students

The staff meeting focused on the new Excos vision to uplift the school, prioritizing staff welfare and pursuing excellence. The team explored opportunities for staff development, including training and capacity-building programs and reward- based system for outstanding performance. 
The staff pledged their unconditional support, highlighting the urgent imperative of staff quarters: rehabilitation and PTA collaboration in order to ensure students discipline. They pledged to reside in the staff quarters if rehabilitated.

Nurturing Future Leaders

The interaction with the students addressed the importance of discipline, focus, and academic excellence. A spontaneous brain-teaser was introduced by Mr. Lanre Arogundade- The EPCOSA President, testing the students knowledge in core subjects of his interest viz;
Economics, Geography and Biology while the Vice President - Dr. Sola Ogunsina anchored that of JS students on English Language, Social studies and Business studies. 
The six  identified winners across JSS1 to SSS3 received cash prizes donated by EPCOSA President Mr. Lanre Arogundade who promised to showcase their achievements on the Alumni platforms. The School Principal made the presentation of N5,000 to each of the winners during the morning assembly on Wednesday, December 10, 2025
