In the true spirit of Christmas and the New Year, Ekiti Parapo UK under the leadership of Com. Olamide Idowu reached across borders and hearts to give back to the land we call home. This season, 165 carefully prepared food boxes were shared with 165 families across all 16 Local Government Areas of Ekiti State —a simple act with a powerful message: you are remembered, you are loved, and you are not alone.
This initiative was born out of compassion and a deep sense of responsibility to our people back home. It was not just about food; it was about hope, dignity, and reassurance during a season that celebrates love and togetherness. For many families, these food boxes meant relief, smiles, and renewed faith that help can come from unexpected places—even from loved ones thousands of miles away.
This project was made possible through the generous donations of Ekiti sons and daughters in the United Kingdom, alongside kind-hearted friends across the globe who believe in community, unity, and giving back. Every contribution, big or small, became a symbol of shared humanity and collective strength.
To ensure coordination and effective reach, Dr. Gbenga Emiloju of GIGMOF, partnered with Ekiti Parapo UK to successfully coordinate and manage the distribution across all 16 local governments. Their dedication on ground ensured that the support reached those who needed it most.
As we celebrate this season, we are reminded that distance does not diminish love. Ekiti Parapo UK remains committed to supporting, uplifting, and standing with the people of Ekiti State—today and always.
Together, we are building a culture of care.
Together, we are keeping hope alive.
Together, we are Ekiti Parapo.
