The President of Ekiti Parapo UK, Comrade Olamide Idowu, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to members of the association and other well-wishers for their support during the burial of his father, Chief Samuel Agboola Idowu (Omo Adetifa), in Oke-Ayedun Ekiti.
In a statement issued on Monday, Comrade Idowu said the presence, prayers, and goodwill messages from members of Ekiti Parapo UK, the Do iT Right Africa Initiative (DIRAi), and his former schoolmates both at home and in the diaspora were a great source of strength and comfort to the family.
The burial ceremony was well attended by associates, friends, and family members from far and near, including Dr. Olajide Ogunlayi, Dr. Chris Ogunlana, Dr Oni, Dr. Dominic Olaogun and wife, Dr Dele Adeleye, Dr Makinde, Mr Tunde Odusote, Mr Abiodun Olawuyi, Engr. Olayinka Esan, Engr. Sunday Akinbolusire, and Pharm. Olatunji Fasoro, among others.
Comrade Idowu also commended the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for his effective security strategy, noting that the improved security architecture has made the state more peaceful and enabled residents to carry out their daily activities without fear.
He prayed for sustained peace and progress in Ekiti State and for greater unity among Ekiti indigenes at home and in the United Kingdom.
