The Executive and the entire membership of Ekiti Parapo UK received with deep shock and profound sadness the news of the passing of Barr. Lateef Olabisi Ogunlayi, a distinguished son of Ikole-Ekiti, who passed away on Friday, 25th September, 2026 in the United States of America.

Barr. Ogunlayi was not only a loving family man and a barrister of repute, but also an Attorney, Business Development Consultant and a committed community leader whose life was dedicated to service, justice and community development.

His death is not just a great loss to his immediate family, but a monumental loss to his friends, the entire Egbeoba people, and all chapters of Ekiti Parapo in the diaspora.

On behalf of Ekiti Parapo UK, I have spoken with a member of his family to express our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy.

We pray that Almighty God will console and strengthen the family in this very difficult time and grant the soul of our dear brother eternal rest.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.
