London, United Kingdom – September 29, 2026.

The Global Coordinator of the Do iT Right Africa Initiative (DIRAi), Comrade Olamide Idowu, has paid a solidarity visit to the Deputy Global Coordinator of the organisation, DIRA Anna Waniiye, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment in London.

Comrade Idowu, who led a delegation of the organisations members in the UK, described the visit as a moment of strength, love and unwavering solidarity.

Speaking during the visit, Comrade Idowu saluted the courage, resilience and positive spirit of DIRA Waniiye in the face of the challenging health battle.

“Anna has been a pillar of strength for DIRAi. Her dedication to the ideals of doing it right for Africa remains inspiring. Even on the sick bed, her passion for the continent is unshaken. We salute her courage and we stand with her in this trying moment,” Idowu said.

He offered prayers for her quick and complete recovery, assuring her that the entire DIRAi family across Africa and the diaspora is united in support and prayers for her return to full health and continued service to the continent.

Responding, DIRA Anna Waniiye expressed deep appreciation for the visit, noting that the love and solidarity from the DIRAi leadership and members have been a great source of strength during her treatment.
